~My Childhood Mind~

~My Childhood Mind~ w:12-16-10

You take a peak inside,
a far corner in my mind.
To find, a little pink an purple door,
the little piece of childhood I left behind.
But in my adult form I am not blind,
to the world's design,
a place where we grow up,
putting away childlike things.
Though to do so I have seen,
children raised in poverty.
It's our responsibility,
to keep in touch with our humanity,
humility, sensitivity, listen to me.
To these words, to these cries.
As the child inside you dies,
when you hide in lies.
That you promised to never let go,
but from hear out you should know.
It will never do, I won't be like you.
I won't throw it all away,
because I might need it some day,
when I play.
With a child that has been born,
I have sworn.
I'll never be blind,
to "My Childhood Mind."
